Would be useful to have standard tow features (trailer brake controller), but with improved integration into the data display, perhaps with a load cell built into the hitch that would be able to determine tongue load, or if the trailer begins to wobble (cyclic lateral loading).
Was thinking that it would be useful to take advantage of existing block heater power infrastructure in cold climate regions, both for charging the vehicle, and for keeping the batteries sufficiently warm to have full power availability at restart.
Cruising in summer through a gorgeous landscape makes significantly more fun with open roof!
Model Y has plenty of headroom for this feature.
Allow for higher bit rate options in the Spotify app, such as the 386kbs Spotify premium.
When the traffic light 🚦turns green, play a sound (of my choice, beep, ding, bing, or a fart noise) so that I don’t have to waste time looking at a red light ever again.
Don't laugh, but how about an Ultralight steering mode? Kind of like cars of the '60s, where you could spin the wheel with your little finger. My old arthritic hands would really appreciate it.
When leaving the car you can choose to have a lock notification sound when using walk-away-lock. It would be really nice to have a the option to be notified without the sound but still be reassured with notification on your phone and smartwatch.
If you have the "Walk away door lock" feature enabled it could secure the car as much as possible by closing any open windows at the same time.
In my country (and probably most others too) the following rule applies: If you're on the motorway, you don't slow down for incoming traffic on motorway ramps from the right. But that's just what Autopilot does. It's not only dangerous, it's against the law.
I live in a country with 3 language "zones" (Americans: Think of Canada with english and french parts). It's just so emberassing to hear the navigation system saying "lachaudefonds" when it should say "La Sho dfon" - and street names are even worse.
It's not always the fastest way I take, it's always the best way. Navigation should remember this - let's say after 3 consecutive times. Can be clicked on/off in settings.
After a (manual) lane change (non FSD) I have to reengage autopilot.
If the car recognizes - after having set the turn signal - that I‘m driving between two lanes again, it would be nice if the autopilot reengaged automatically. Could be turned on or off in the settings.
There have been several times when I have been waiting in my car for a curbside pickup and watching netflix. When my order is ready, I have to fumble for the pause button on the screen. The left click wheel currently does nothing while watching netflix and would be a much quicker option to paus
Currently, there is only an option to tilt the mirror when in reverse or not tilt them. Having the mirror on the road side (usually left) tilted down not allow the driver to watch for approaching cars using the mirror.
In order to walk around the car and see that all lights are working, it would be great if the app could step the car through a test sequence (turn signals, brake lights, reverse lights, etc) as you walk around the car. The app would show the current step of the sequence as it happens. Should al
I would love to be able to drive to Alaska, that's not possible today because the SCs stop in Vancouver, would love to see the Superchargers along the whole route from BC to Fairbanks and Anchorage.
In our Right Hand Drive country (New Zealand), in most vehicles the right steering wheel stalk controls the indicators. Tesla uses a LHD stalk arrangement. I have four vehicles, two being like the Tesla and two being normal RHD stalk arrangement for this country.
normally I am in chill mode, but for overtaking would appreciate to sometimes change to sports mode quickly.
I'm sure your designers can make some stylish ones, which appear out of the roof shell and disappear when not in use.
..with any of the official webbased tools/apps built in to the entertainment section and front-mirror camera, or by streaming the phone to the screen.
Allow smart EV chargers to wake up the Tesla. This will allow smart chargers to use excess solar power to charge Tesla cars. At present, smart chargers can not wake Tesla cars, which means charging can not start.
Implement an interface switch that tells the car you are towing a trailer, but not using the Tesla tow package or towing software that is currently available in Europe. This could then mute alarms when reversing, and could also change the speed limits applied when using TACC as slower limits app
Allow Tesla vehicles to charge other electric vehicles using onboard battery power like this Electrek article shows
