"open charging flap!", "lower windows and start venting!", "open door!", "open frunk!", "finish charging!", ... Yes, there are other ways to do so, but it's free as soon as you have an outside microphone (maybe at the B-pillar) and a way to avoid misuse (phone must be close and outside).
I'd like an even smarter and more reliable way to recognize the user's wish to open the trunk than the old fashioned foot kick gesture. Maybe a voice command when standing with a registered phone (and loaded with shopping bags) behind the car.
Normally it is not necessary to use the brakes or only for the last few meters to a full stop. The problem is, the the brakes corrode, begin to squeak and the contact parttern gets worse. The only way to prevent this, is to brake. Even it is not necessary - totally insane...
In winter the window mechanism may freeze such that the window bangs into the chrome trim when opening the door. This damages the chrome trim and may even brake the window.
Hello,
Although I am very impressed with my Model 3 SR+, I wish this was made standard.
i) a windshield-washer jet to clear the backup camera and|or hide it in the logo (à la VW e-Golf).
Great idea read from 'Paladaxar' at electrek.co:
The opacity of the glass roof could be variable. Keeps automatically the sun out and saves AC power.
An audible warning when the speed limit changes. There are many places with small towns that suddenly change the speed limit to 25 MPH, it would be nice if the car gave an audible warning when the speed limit changed. Same when the speed limit increases as you leave town.
As with custom bumpers, there are a number of accessories that overlanders like to add to roof racks. So creating a flexible system of roof and bed rack mount points for a truck should be a priority.
The unibody design is super cool, but any damage to the frame is damage to the body and vise versa. If you bottom out while off road on an uneven surface you risk permanent and unrepairable damage to the vehicle.
It would be a good idea to make heavy duty mount points on the frame order to allow for custom bumpers to be mounted securely. One of the first mods truck owners do is fit custom bumpers (front and rear) to suit their particular needs.
This feature causes problems for people with reduced vision at dark. Especially while parking. Please add option to disable the auto dimming of mirrors at dark
I mean a quick access button for activating / deactivating the low beam, the front and rear fog lights, e.g. next to the windshield wiper symbol in the lower left corner of the touch screen.
Given that the Cybertruck is likely going to be unique among trucks as far as its dimensions and accessory fit, it would be great to have an optional Cybertruck-specific accessory available in the form of a space frame or rack over the vault that would provide a crossbar over the body apex and an
Would be useful to have standard tow features (trailer brake controller), but with improved integration into the data display, perhaps with a load cell built into the hitch that would be able to determine tongue load, or if the trailer begins to wobble (cyclic lateral loading).
Was thinking that it would be useful to take advantage of existing block heater power infrastructure in cold climate regions, both for charging the vehicle, and for keeping the batteries sufficiently warm to have full power availability at restart.
Currently, there is only an option to tilt the mirror when in reverse or not tilt them. Having the mirror on the road side (usually left) tilted down not allow the driver to watch for approaching cars using the mirror.
This feature will automatically open the charge port when putting the car in park after arriving at home, or work.
Teslas should offer improved rear blinkers / turn indicators with animated yellow lighting moving to the intended direction. A lot of competing cars offer this cool looking feature.
As the title states, when the driver opens the door after Smart Summon, the mirrors should automatically unfold so the car can be driven immediately. Having to fiddle with settings while blocking the lane in front of a store isn’t fun for anyone.
“Freezing rain mode” where the tesla heats cabin to about 5°C a few times throughout the night to keep freezing rain/snow from accumulating on car and windows and especially on door handles
The location based mirror folding preference seems to fold the mirrors as soon as you arrive at a location even while you're still reversing into the parking spot and still need to use them. Do not autofold mirrors until the vehicle has been put into park for at least 3-5 seconds.
It would be nice to be able to unplug the car from its charger without having to open a door first. I have a private garage, and I always have to open a door to get the charge cable to unlock and pull it out of the charging port.
In Europe, a rear fog light is mandatory. It is considered a vital safety feature & this was figured out dozens of years ago.
They are correct & NA needs to catch up at long last.
When the fob or phone key is detected, allow a leg swipe or another leg gesture behind the rear camera to automatically release the trunk or liftgate or bed cover. This can be done using image recognition with the rear view camera and does not require additional sensors.
