This is my story...
Allow rear cooling/heating in Model 3 to be set at it's own temperature, not to be locked in step with the driver. I like it warm, my wife likes it cool, but when she sits in the back she is uncomfortable from the excessive warmth.
We haven't seen the implementation in version 10, but automatically turn on Joe(y) mode when rear seats are occupied.
Just in case it's not already in version 10, download YouTube and Netflix video to external storage when on Wi-Fi so that there's no need to use cellular data when parked to watch the video.
Find a way to gracefully change from Navigate on AutoPilot to Traffic-aware cruise control. Currently I have to cancel NoA and then enable TACC.
When changing lanes, increase the distance between yourself and the vehicle behind you. The auto-lane change works great, but the I end up too close to the vehicle behind me.
The current equalizer is pretty simplistic. Add some pre-configured equalizer modes such as Pop, Talk, Classical, etc.
Use the same route planner in smartphone app as in vehicle's display, and have option to push the results to the screen.
Setting to automatically close windows in x seconds if it starts raining -- include an option on the screen to cancel.
Mechanism via display to report incorrect speed. Video footage could be used to corroborate.
When in Navigate on Autopilot, automatically move into the slower lane if there are vehicles piling up behind the vehicle, or if there is even just one vehicle that is on your tail wants to pass you.
Exterior and vehicle noise changes depending on location, roadway, and speed. Since the Telsa has a built-in microphone, use that to automatically adjust the volume when conditions change.
In TACC and NoA, include a "distance enhancing mode" toggle that will enhance coverage by setting a max speed not above the posted maximum speed.
In navigation, rather than just negatively framed warnings about needing to be at a certain speed to reach the destination, provide "smart suggestions" regarding distance gained/charge retained if speed was reduced.
It would be ideal if the vehicle's audio system would automatically pause or lower the relative volume of media (Slackr, Bluetooth, radio, etc) when navigation instructions are given.
When re-entering vehicle, it would ideal if it would report (and log) how much phantom/vampire power drain there was, in terms of miles and miles over a time period (hours or days?)
It's pretty neat that app supports opening the garage door -- now we just need to be able to select which HomeLink connected garage door to open/close.
Tesla can leverage the cameras -- pleas auto-fold the mirrors when parked in any garage or parking garage.
Allow for navigation planning to flip between more short stops or less, but longer, stops, not only intially, but at any point in the trip.
We've been told that keeping one's battery at a high state of charge is not ideal for the battery. What about a feature that allows us to set a time by which we want the battery charged to a certain level?
I know there are some apps that support this, but I'd like for Tesla to include this as a native feature in their vehicle and app. For example, I would like my vehicle to be 72 degrees by 7:45 am just before I leave for work and then again at 5:05 pm when I leave.
Many states provide a website that overlays a map with road conditions. It would be ideal if Tesla could use this kind of data in their maps and also factor that into their route calculations.
Remember that two-second following rule from driver's ed? Rather than car lengths, wouldn't it be safer if we could set the following distance based on that two-second following rule, perhaps only when at certain minimum speeds?
I love the added security of this feature, but what's the chance that two keys are compromised? It would be great if there was a feature to skip entering the PIN if there were:
On a recent trip we changed our destination while supercharging, but the charging status screen didn't show a new countdown of how much time it would take to charge until we were at an acceptable state of charge to reach that destination.
It appears, and I could be wrong, that the climate control for the rear is not passenger aware.
It would be ideal if that could auto-enabled at the beginning of a trip if a passenger is present in the rear.
If a passenger leaves the vehicle the seat warmer should automatically shut off. The sensors for the seat belt know about passenger occupancy, so this should be an easy energy-saving feature.
My wife likes it cooler and air in her face -- I like it a bit warmer and don't need any fan blowing on any part of me. In my older cars I just closed the fan vents, best I could, but I can't do that with the Tesla Model 3.
I just had this last night -- drove into a town where the street widened to a double lane, but the second lane was unmarked. The car didn't know what to do and wanted to fill up both lanes.
I'm not sure if there are copyright issues, but if there's not, allow for pausing and trick-play of live radio if there's a storage device.
When using autopilot (without navigate) I can't set the target speed to be more than 5 mph over speed limit (as known by the vehicle). I'd like the ability to override that, which is especially helpful if the map data is incorrect
As a driver I can pause the playback or mute the audio be pressing the left thumbwheel, but the front seat passenger doesn't have that option. What about adding an option to mute be pressing the speaker button on the screen for a second or two?
Sometimes there's an event in the car that prevents me from hearing something, or I want to listen the last few seconds. If we had trick play support (i.e.. go back 10 seconds/fast forward 30 seconds), like I have in Netflix and many other players, that would be very helpful.
I do see the song's progress on Slackr, but I can't see that for any podcast or song I'm playing via Bluetooth. This is pretty standard on most modern vehicles. I'd like to see a progress bar and how long the item is and how much time has progress or how much time is left.
Currently TACC is set to 45 mph when street speed is unknown. That very annoying when the speed limit is actually higher. Even if the default can't be raised above 45 mph, while driving I should be able to adjust it.
When charging at a destination charger (such as a hotel) it would be ideal if there was an option for the charge port to automatically unlock once the vehicles reaches its target state of charge (SOC). This would allow others to use the charging cable without requiring the vehicle owner to (remo
