App switcher
Currently only method of moving between apps is to exit entirely. Would want a switcher system like what phones have to quickly move between previously opened apps.

Now that Tesla has more videogames in their cars, it could ne interesting for them to have a dedicated console at their Service centers to show their games...
It would be a great way to have a nice time while waiting for your Tesla to be serviced.
Add augmented reality direction hints over the front camera pictures in the center screen (and/or driver screen for S/X). Accurately calculated arrows should hover over the crossways showing the route to take and the name of the streets are shown directly in the camera feed.
Have a readily accessible icon on the main screen that, when pressed, records and send to Tesla information about an unexpected Autopilot event (e.g. the car suddenly slows for no reason, or the car starts a lane change and then suddenly swerves back to the original lane).
Add an icon at the top of the main screen that takes you quickly to the Adjust Mirrors page of the UI. OR... add a voice command option to Adjust Mirrors.
Add an option to tell the car the next time I plan to use it so that it can set a one time scheduled departure. I don't have a set schedule every day, so picking a time for scheduled departure for the entire week doesn't work for me. I would prefer if, upon arriving someplace, the car would ask
Currently the only options for scheduled departure days are “ALL WEEK” or “WEEKDAYS”.
The feature would be to have an option to select days of the week.
I dislike trying to carefully maintain 50 km/h which causes me to drive between 47-52 all the time. It would be nice if the car auto detects that I am trying to keep my speed at 50 and auto adjusts to keep that speed.
It should be possible to create read-only API tokens (best would be fine-grained access rights) so that one could more comfortably give access to 3rd party apps, without risking having the car stolen.
Send a push notification to a mobile device if the doors are not closed properly. Check if doors are not closed and smartphone is not nearby, then send a message.
Let the car switch to dark screen mode in a tunnel. Maybe synchronize with driving lights?
Watch dash cam and sentry mode videos directly in the Tesla Mobile App and on www.tesla.com
When you double-click the top of the keyfob, the drivers door will open. Do it again and the passenger door opens.
Be nice if dash cam would record from all cameras.
Also be nice to clear footage from the car itself directly without having to look for a computer while on the road.
The preconditioning feature should be extended to non-Tesla CCS fast charging. A button to start battery preconditioning manually should be included. The user can activate precondtioning when approaching a non-Tesla CCS charger.
rather than choosing the speed through the screen, allow users to press the end of the stalk 1-2-3 times to activate wipe speed
We can beep the horn or flash the lights from the phone app, if we've forgotten just where in the parking lot the car is and that's great and useful. But I think it would be good if there was some sequence we could use on the fob to do the same thing, if it's inconvenient to get the phone out.
With the growing rise of vehicle break-ins (especially in California), I present this idea as a feature. I wan the ability to illuminate the interior to show thieves I have nothing inside my car and hopefully they will move on.
I have followed my own Tesla when my wife is driving, and when the car slows (clearly in regen braking) no brake lights appear at lower speeds unless the pedal is almost fully up. In normal cars the brakes would come on the instant the brake peddle is touched regardless of speed.
My kids love to scream 'TESLA!' when we see another one on the road. Add a smiley icon or something on screen when it recognizes another Tesla.
When you backup with a trailer the side sensors should monitor that the trailer won't hit the car. Distance directly behind the car via sensors shouldn't cause alarm sounds.
A feature where it will enable you to drive hands off for a short period of time. Maybe 5 minutes or less? Probably would make it available strictly on certain parts of the road. They could maybe implement something that would limit how many times you could use it in a day.
I sometimes forget to plug in my car at night and wake up having a low battery. I'd love a feature where the Tesla app can have a customizable alarm set per car to go off if the car is not plugged in by a certain time and is below a certain battery level.
