In Tesla’s today, the day time running lights turn on the headlights but not the tail lights, thus only providing additional visibility for oncoming vehicles and pedestrians. By also turning on tail lights, Tesla’s would have improved visibility from behind during the day but more i
Feature requests for Roadster
Similar to the forward collision warning for the driver, the rear-end collision warning system would be for the driver of the following vehicle that is approaching too rapidly. The enhancement request would enable Tesla vehicles to flash the brake lights or center high-mounted
An audible warning when the speed limit changes. There are many places with small towns that suddenly change the speed limit to 25 MPH, it would be nice if the car gave an audible warning when the speed limit changed. Same when the speed limit increases as you leave town.
Automatically brake for an emergency - before hitting something when backing up and before collision
When driving without autopilot on, the car knows when you are about to hit something and should automatically apply the brakes to avoid hitting something in front or backing into something behind you. Infinity has this feature and will automatically stop before backing into the garage or pedest

Additional features for premium connectivity

I take my dog with me to the park and around town once in a while. It's really difficult (nearly impossible) to keep her in a seat with a seat belt on. When I drive with her in the car, the seat belt warning keeps going off. The car thinks there is someone in the passenger seat without the sea
